Joseph Eid has been the CMO since November of 2024 according to his bio on the Geron website. I don’t remember seeing a PR for this change.

I would have however expected a PR for full enrollment for the Impact study. It was over 95% enrolled at the end of July. Any possibility this isn’t filled yet?

Good new is at least 120 of the 160 patients enrolled by December 2023 are still alive. Hard not to see this having a positive outcome.

Littlebiobet, Right, roughly 11 weeks since study confirmed at >95% enrolled. Should be fully enrolled any day now. Would tweak your numbers a little bet I mean bit: 320 is full enrollment but interim analysis allowed when 35% of anticipated full enrollment number have died so that comes to 112 patients, so to continue your train of thought, since the beginning of the study (2022), we can safely say that 112 patients have not yet died as of now and the company projects this number won’t be reached until second half of 2026.

First patient dosed however was April of 2021.

I also infer that since the intern results I believe are expected second half of 2026 we are probably getting close to 35%.

I also recall this was expected first half of 2025. We were well into the study at this time and doubt slow enrollment was the only reason for pushing back the timeline.

I stand corrected. You are right first patient dosed in April of 2021. I think the timeline has been changed a couple of times and the company has been cagey as to whether it was due to slow enrollment (that is almost certain) or longer longevity (they ain’t saying). But since the second half of 2026 is still 8 months away, it is reasonable to hope there is true drug effect. (For the sake of argument if study totally enrolled as of today, BAT (excluding Imetelstat has a 50% expected survival of 12-14 months so if only BAT patients were in the study 160 of them would be dead 12 to 14 months from today.) This numbers will be modulated statistically however by the allowance of crossover which likely has resulted in a prolonged study but was a humane thing to do ethically, especially in light of the PII study results discussed recently. Anyway it is also possible that BAT has improved to the point that the assumed BAT arm could also just be living longer requiring a longer than anticipated study.

The website bio is badly worded. He came to Geron as EVP, Research and Development in November 2024. Apparently he is Chief Medical Officer now, but the website just dropped in the title with no distinction of timelines. His LinkedIn only has the EVP role no mention of CMO. This change is brand new, “pre-PR” and Before 8-K if you will.

Dr. Feller’s role is currently undefined. She’s obviously not on the website. My guess is she has departed, IMO by her own volition and to a new role, somewhere…

Ryan, it would be wonderful if Faye moved to a new position of CDO as suggested by Frogg. That would mean new studies. I can only hope this is the case. But Geron being Geron

Since the 12/6/23 announcement that the IMPactMF trial had reached 50% enrollment of 160 patients, over 22 months have elapsed, and 112 patients have not died yet. IOWs, we know at least 35% of the patients in the trial have survived for at least 22 months.. Twenty-two months is significantly longer than the 12-14 months estimated to be the average longevity of patients on BAT. Given Imetelstat's relatively manageable side effects, it's difficult to imagine that the FDA would not approve the drug for Myleofybrosis. At this point, any further delays in the interim results would need to be interpreted as the drug is working.
