EMA website down
this has been on the EMA website for the past few days:
We are currently unable to display the new and recently updated medicines authorised for cancer due to a technical error. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

They can't spell apologize; how can they fix the website?

Re: EMA wesite down
That is the British spelling of apologize.
$2.39 is an abomination.

Re: EMA website down
Yes, Jayfish knows it’s spelled in the Queen’s.

Re: EMA website down
Why can't the English learn to speak/spell English?
Re: EMA website down
I’m just hoping Dr Scarlett is not apologizing about something on Wednesday. Cause this trend has not been our friend so we’ll see soon enough.

Re: EMA website down
Its appalling beyond reasoning. Downward spiral continues despite seemingly positive earning calls and EMA decision just a day away. Compared to another pharma Verona, approved around same time as Geron, its pps has skyrocketed from around $15 to around $65 – “tales of 2 cities”. Obviously one would argue it’s not apple to apple comparison. But that is not my point. Surely Verona cannot be so special that it is immune to hedge funds manipulation. Clearly the ease at which these hedgies hit on Geron is blatantly alarming and need to be addressed openly by the management and BOD. A massive and continuous non-stop spiral of >58% since 25 Nov’24 ($4.10) to 24 Feb’25 ($2.39) for no bad reasons in just 3 months cannot go unanswered by a responsive and accountable management who hitherto has done a great job in its achievement in bringing Rytelo to approval and market. Let’s hope we are not riding on thin air but solid ground come 26 Feb’25. GLTA.

Re: EMA website down
A while back, we did a capital raise with six (6) different investment banks involved in the process. The stock price dropped in advance of the announcement... likely because some of the people in the know (numerous) told others (friends, relatives, etc) who could trade in anticipation of the news.
This recent drop reminds me of such an event. However, in this case, we're approaching financial breakeven status (1-2 quarters away) and we shouldn't need the money.... unless (perhaps) we're acquiring one (or more) assets to beef up our pipeline.
The above scenario is only speculation on my part, but (like everyone else) I'm trying to make sense of the recent share price decline. FYI...I had previously suspected it was related to options trading as had been put forward by another commentor, but this most recent decline seems to be unrelated to the options positions.
This week's update will be interesting to say the least.

Re: EMA website down
EMA decision first half of 2025 WHAT WHY!
Re: EMA website down
They’re 90% focused on driving US sales and usage in 1st/2nd line treatments. EU is an afterthought currently, according to Dr. Scarlett.
Re: EMA website down
EMA decision by first half has been their maintained stance. I do recall them stating that sometime. What is not clear is that, why the sentiment turned this negative with the flat sales? More importantly, how did the fund managers knew this well in advance. Management!

Re: EMA website down
I and several other board members have calculated that EMA decision was mandated and should have occurred by now. What am I and others missing.
Also, I don't understand why sales flattened already.

Re: EMA website down
Sales actually has gone up 62% qtr to qtr. It's rising and not flat. If this trajectory continues, we could probably end up profitable this year!
Re: EMA website down
The market believes Geron hasn’t executed well on US sales and have dropped the ball with their communication efforts to doctors and patients as a 1st/2nd line therapy.
Maybe it’s time for their PR department to begin an ad campaign? Maybe Ed Koval can begin earning his keep, finally? Dr. Scarlett can’t be happy with how the earnings call was executed. I noticed quite a bit of fumbling around and stepping over one another in a few instances, which to me screams a lack of preparation. If Geron has been prepping their sales department like they prepped for their earnings call, RYTELO sales will remain flat for longer than Wall Street and every investor expected.

Re: EMA website down
Poor execution, bottom line. It’s an overreaction and pps based on technicals, but it is the correct reaction nonetheless. Imo here’s why - the *reason they guided to sales flattening (not flat, flattening… in math these are two different words) is because of cytopenias. So let’s do a paragraph break on this:
Cytopenias appear to be a natural reaction to the treatment working. However it is debilitating and a difficult side efffect , and of course not 100% of this patient cohort responds to Rytelo treatment… so it’s not conjecture but literally stated that (some I assume) doctors are hesitant to prescribe now…
This is a company issue. Medical liaisons / sales people all the way up to executives… don’t seem to be winning the battle of risk / benefit.
Hence it seems clear we are headed to a global biopharma picking this up and marketing/selling this product with their insane powers. Not to mention the R&D. I can’t even get into the 2028 final analysis … this is great news for patients ! How does management not make this crystal clear. Cause they’ve been fumbling the test design and execution and mostly the guidance, for a decade now… I think I remember a delay from Covid, yup back in 2020/2021.
But but but with this company. It shows why independent biotechs have such minimal chances always. They did make it, but but but only a global BP can actually penetrate in the health care system(s).
Lo of course as we’ve learned and are reminded every spring, the company will have magic before the shareholder meeting in May… European authorization is coming although of course with confounding delays as par the course here. Then it seems more than likely the buy out will be made (maybe within a few months to a year).
So it’s max pain for the retail shareholder but i would just imo that it selling now is not the way to go. Less than 1 Billion market cap, 500 million cash and equivalents, nearing profitability despite the disappointing execution, European approval pretty much a lock, and bottom line the drug does work for the sickest of the sick (in many many cases) despite the tough (short term) side effects.
I just worry about the price of that buyout now.
