Regarding politics, apart from an increase in evening drinking and popcorn, and maybe an uptick in stress meds, debate isn't going to get any of us very far.

The only thing I can see coming from this politics is delay. Less people in the FDA, even if its bigly great in the long term is awful in the short term. Unless they approve stuff ahead of schedule, which will be a different type of awful for a lot of different people.

So, to bring this back to point, what would a good CEO with 500 million in the bank do in this wildly chaotic landscape where even hourly news reports can't keep up?

Take things slowly and wait until things are calmer?

I hate to be bursting bubbles around here, but actually, as pointed out in the not so distant past on this very forum, there is an underlying factor which has derailed many a Biotech and up and coming drug on their way to commercial success......that my fellow board members is CORRUPTION. Everyone here is well aware of BP literally paying for favoritism through physician reviews and endorsements. Our moderator Bp actually pointed this out himself not so long ago on Dec 30, 2024:

Right now within the last few hours, there is talk of the current Administration going after Big Pharma, physicians and medical journals through RICO statutes, usually reserved for Organized Crime:

Again, I'm not going to dwell on any political angles here, or take sides, but I think it would be in Geron's favor, or any small Biotech like them, especially given it's current position in the marketplace for this sort of criminal behavior to be enforced. And as stated, this is all very pre-mature as things are developing quickly across a broad spectrum of the American landscape which has been broken and dismantled for far too long. -Kmall

Corrpution certainly exists. Corruption and politics are often tied closely together and is far beyond the scope of this board to correct. There was no corruption at Facui's NIH that I am aware of. We will see what the future brings.
