Meeting

Post by rccola335 »

People have been posting about a meeting today - I have never seen anything and can’t find it on Gerons website

RC, when you voted your shares (which I presume you did), you should have gotten an email that connected you with something called proxy vote. There is a link that tells you when the meeting is and an “attend in person” option. You will need your 16 digit access number. It starts at 2 PM Eastern. Hope that helps.

I voted my shares through Schwab - it’s funny that they did not post on their website anywhere

I won’t be able to attend. Can someone please scribe as best you can. Very appreciated although I know nothing newsworthy will be said unless there is a corresponding PR. But would still love to hear the key points, thanks.

Ryan, the meeting will be archived on Geron's site. . Basically no new information beyond info in the Q4 call. Confirmed IMprove basically a safety study and is in Phase I (read, don't get your hopes up since its a small PI study.) We know will be expanded and prolonged as discussed previously.) Focus is on commercialization in the US. The only thing we can hope for short term are improved income numbers and a new CEO. There was a nod to the DSMB responsible for monitoring IMpact, which could be important. Very nonspecific. As of now it appears they plan to complete enrollment. My between the lines read is that they are hoping for an earlier call. They did not address my question about the study design involving cross over and the obvious potential impact on prolongation of the study. That also could be an important omission and clearly was intentional. Questions regarding investigator sponsored studies deflected. Oral agent progress described as very early. As for other diseases (B-cell) they remain interested but are not devoting any resources or time at this point. UK, nada. EU-4 depends on reimbursement. Third party for distribution. Don't think any of this will move the stock until next quarter. No bombshells.

Ok thanks, I appreciate it. Nothing much, sounds about right.

Well the two abstracts from the MF trials are a conundrum... a Phase I is too early for anything (statistically) significant while the Phase III is not ready for a true data read... so I guess we find out what if anything is new when the abstracts are released.

Scientists/MDs/Nurses help to compile data associated with imetelstat.

BODs help to compile paychecks.

It’s not difficult to understand why it’s fruitful for board members and salaried employees to extend trials and then regurgitate overtly rehearsed explanations for those extentions. Not much risk for BOD and salaried employees pulling down some serious cheese while you and I question our dumb commitment to imetelstat. It’s a potentially great medicine yet a seriously lousy equity that will probably never live up to its promise as a blockbuster without the help of a major biopharma—at least not in my lifetime, even with MF as a second indication approved.

This equity will always be worth what big pharma is willing to drive it down to. And I think Geron already knows this.

I’m holding til 2026-27 only because I have to. I bought way too many shares believing in the science but the current science isn’t good enough for WS or BP. Big money is years away. We are only worth what we’re currently worth, and that ain’t changing any time soon.

Reluctantly,

but as always,

Cheers 🍻

Gerons board would like this to pay off also - Scarlet was expecting to ride off in to the sunset and the MF delay led to his resignation - He knew where the enrollment was but had the feeling that we would get some type of update on MF that would allow to sell and cash out - they are reluctant sellers in Europe for MDS
