Re: That awful rocking horse is gone!
getting ready for more web traffic
Re: That awful rocking horse is gone!
Just did a quick once over on the new website design. Nice to see the acknowledgement of ASH front and center with the team and booth right there. Was somebody from Geron reading Imetechat last week? -Kmall
Re: That awful rocking horse is gone!
It takes months to design, build and implement and new (legit) website these days, so no.

Kmall, you can be sure they read Imetelchat every day. So your voice has been heard! (And mine, I’ve been complaining about that infantile rocking horse for a while). It does take a while to build a good web site so this was probably a work in progress for a while, anticipating the upcoming spotlight. Even though Geron has been a focus for those of us here, you can be sure that the vast majority of the medical community is only peripherally informed and the potential patient population even less so. They will all be on the internet in short order and it is reassuring that they will be met with a professional/accessible site with good links for them to get more information. The evolution from doctor driven to patient driven decisions to try new medications is apparent from the myriad of medical commercials one sees on TV that are directed right at patients with very happy faces and families and a rapid gloss over of potential side effects. They have skipped the docs and are going right to the patients many of whom are computer savvy and will be on Geron’s new web site post haste. The timing of the web site upgrade is not an accident for sure. No doubt there has been a lot of behind the scenes planning for Imetelstat’s market release.

Yes - well aware of the amount of work it takes to overhaul an entire website. 25-30yrs ago I dabbled in web design/3d Animation/film. I was joking around. Everyone here needs to stop being so edgy.
Happy Holidays board! -Kmall

Wow, Gern gets real! No more horsing around. And by that I mean too no more tinkling with the pps MM. 100 hires targeted surpassed. Let it rolls as we inch towards TLR come Jan. Options tag to new hires continue to be a drag. Premature filling as Kmall pointedly castrate management in his recent rant. Management by now should have the real guts to attract talent without cheap options. As the saying goes, Gern should be worth its salt! We shall see come Jan as we loyalist all march in sync to the battle cry "GERONIMO" coined by Delprice towards the dream "turtle island' concorted by the vociferous ED who is somehow a semblance of Kmall and Bp on this board. Hm....wonder where are they now? Tongue in cheek guys!

Well stanleyrock, you certainly know your Geron history but there are probably only a few posters left who know all that you refer to. Perhaps you were the voice of Rick the Mouse? In any case readers need to know that your post was tongue in check and intelligible only to very very long term followers of Geron and readers of related message boards. With Geron’s possible looming success perhaps we will see the return of the Turtle Islanders. Maybe i was a little too harsh on that poor rocking horse. It was probably someone’s brain child and I sincerely hope I did not hurt anyone’s feelings by disparaging it, but I am glad to see the updated site. At this point we should turn the discussion back to the matter at hand but I appreciated your humor even though it took a little bit of a reach to get there. bp

Rocking horse didn't bother me so much. Sometimes old and antiquated things are cool. Bp- took me a minute but the pleading "guilty as charged" was a good one! Ha!! -Kmall
