Overall excellent article, except they didn't address the elephant in the room.... the long standing coordinated short attack on Geron. It's impossible to honestly attempt a comprehensive analysis of Geron past, present, and future without acknowledging the insidious short attack whose goal is to stop telomerase inhibition research, or at least slow it down for years and years while big pharma rakes in billions and billions of dollars with inferior drugs that do nothing in regards to modifying the underlying disease.

Very well written and comprehensive in every other aspect. I especially liked the recognition of imetelchat as a serious forum for serious discussion.

I can't speak to Big Pharma trying to stop telomerase inhibition research and Geron, but the Hedge Funds and other sophisticated traders, with their trading algorithms, can and have been short selling Geron for a few years now. This will continue as long and until Geron can deliver, forcing the HFs and traders to move on to easier and more profitable targets. Geron has to demonstrate continued growth in Ryetelo sales for LR-MDS, with increasing acceptance by treating physicians and for frontline treatment use. A big name EU partner (with favorable terms - upfront cash to Geron and revenue sharing) to begin sales in 2026 would be another catalyst to shew away HFs, etc. Finally, great interim results in mid 2026 for IMpact MF.

Frontline IMprove MF Combo with JAKi, IMpress R/R AML & HR-MDS, and Imagine R/R AML Combo Therapy are all possibilities, but too early development to have any impact for a couple of years.

Great find BP - and thanks Merlin for including our cult in your article. As many of you know, I’ve been convinced for decades that Geron's pps has been heavily manipulated, by whom and for what reason is still unknown (but I'm certain someone is paying those bloaks on the Yahoo board).

I tend to think that we are now cresting the final hill of a very long marathon. I don't know if we make it to the top and start a downhill glide to the finish line or we end up in a ditch on the side of the road. Either way, many of us are still in the race.

Merlin did a good job overall but I think he seemed a touch skeptical of Geron's long term viability and cautious concerning Geron's European potential and BO interest. He made the point several times that expectations were very high for Rytelo and that the Market's reaction to a "disappointing" rollout was predictably negative. I don't think the Market's reaction (essentially treating the rollout as an out and out failure) reflected reality. I think the Market was manipulated by Hedge funds who had a significant interest in seeing the pps drop like a stone, e.g. Goldman Sachs.

With the exception of a flat third qtr we've had very good news. All indications are that the new leadership is extremely focused on succeeding. ASH was a Bonafide success and the NCCN news undermines the negative Cytopena rap I think we're building Market muscle now, e.g. Goldman Sachs purchase of 11m shares, consistently decreasing short position, etc. etc.

I have done multiple AI evaluations on the probability of IMPactMF succeeding and the odds are high of some level of success. To put it succinctly, if we match the phase II results we will be approved pretty quickly for MF (a close to tripling of longevity for an already approved drug). IMPactMF could very well be a Grand slam (ChatGPT has the odds of early success at about 40% given the factors we already know).

Overall, I am optimistic but not delusional – Rytelo is still going to be a tough sell with uninformed providers, European pricing could be disappointing, and the crossovers in the MF trial could muddy the waters. But I’m still in the fight and will ride this baby to the end.

the concern at this point is the BAT arm is out performing expectations of 12-14 months - otherwise we have not gotten to the 35 percent mark when 50 percent of patients were enrolled by December of 2023 IF BAT is on historical targets we will be approved and if you can extend life significantly, you become frontline
When we parted from Janssen we were told life expectancy after JAK failure was 7-12 months and now it is 12-14 - hopefully that holds true - I am concerned

RC, good point and a very legit “concern”. The fact is (better) BAT has probably evolved in an of itself to potentially prolong life in the control arm. If so, this will be further obfuscated by cross over with some imaginary end point in those patients that do crossover to represent a fusion of control and treatment in the same patient.
