Well now two ladies have vanished. I can think of two scenarios one good one not so good.
Scenario #1 for Faye: She has indeed left the company and Geron will somehow deal with the public relations fallout and the disapprobation of the regulators for lack of transparency for a material event.

Scenario #2 for Faye: She is still with the company and they are waiting to make an important announcement regarding a new position and path for her. This scenario relates peripherally to the second vanished lady.

Lady #2: Dr. Claudia Bruedigam: Last year Dr. B presented a coveted oral presentation outlining her preclinical work on PDx mice with AML on Imet/Aza/Venetoclax with the promise of a future presentation to confirm unprecedented longevity in those animals. There was nothing at EHA and to date nothing in the ASH abstract titles.

Scenario #1 for Claudia: All the animals have died and there is nothing earthshaking to present. Dr. B spent 5 years (nights, weekends, holidays) to define Imetelstat’s non canonical MOA as it relates to ferroptosis.

Scenario #2: The preclinical studies confirm long term survival benefits in lab mice and we have not heard anything because Dr. B has submitted a late breaking abstract. This would result in an even more prestigious presentation that the oral presentation of last year. Dr. B’s work is independent and not directly Geron sponsored hence her abstract of ASH 2024 was not posted on the Geron site.

If both Scenario #2’s are correct then the stage is set for TELOMERE, with Faye as Director of Development. If not, all Geron has left is trying to improve sales for MDS as who ever is left waits for the results of IMpact and IMprove for MF.

I expect we are waiting for MF results and trying to improve MDS sales

My hope is we have a new leader who can straighten things out - this company was ill prepared to deal with commercialization and that is inexcusable and heads needed to roll - tomorrow will be important to prevent the stock price from tanking worse than it is - after all these years waiting for MDS approval and to not have enough drug supply for patients is maddening

Not sure supply is the issue.

it is not the issue now but it was and it should of never been - only a poorly run company would of let that happen

Hunt, thanks for posting this, hat tip to huntlardo too. This was first mentioned by Frogg on YMB credit to him, but the presentation was not yet posted. I think this is a big relief to Faye fans and explains the lack of any announcement. A change in status within the company may not require a public announcement. CDO is a big deal and should mean further development in other areas. As to the Second Lady lets hope we see clarification at ASH.
