The only line extension I can see is a move toward front line L/R MDS. AML studies very nascent and likely will likely require combination therapy and separate studies and a separate approval. So not sure where else line extension can go. Unless there is an MF surprise but this would be a new indication not a commercial line extension which implies an extension of the initial indication MDS approval. Any ideas?

BTW - Another excellent dig by Akwaba76 over on the Stocktwits site. He uncovered a patient message board - I'm assuming on Rytelo, who is transfusion free since February. Quite a celebration I'm sure if you're in that situation. Great to see these real world stories surface - wish Geron had the smarts to capitalize on bringing a presence to these patient boards/communities at some point in the near future. -Kmall

Now that we have FDA approval for LR MDS, we have our foot in the door. Apparently oncologists, if they are so inclined, can explore the use of imetelstat along other avenues. This week Geron began a search for a director who would expand our foot print into the field of lymphatic cancers. The pathway to senescence in these B cell cancers is apparently considerably shorter than in blood cancers. I gather the director’s job would be to persuade doctors to give us a try? Looks like the new team is hard at work.

Seedylemon, thanks for posting, don’t know for sure there is a connection to b call disease. And Kmall you are exactly right! I po pood the last lymphoma study which I thought was weak. But your post started me thinking and I went to the 10k which indicated things were still active (you already knew that part) and then saw the article on TERT inhibitors with Imetelstat the only likely near term candidate. Please forgive the delayed light bulb illumination in my dark forest.

If I recall correctly, NHL (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma) was the largest patient population by far in B-Cell Lymphomas:

81,560 patients/yr in the US………. 743,176 (2018) people in the US living with NHL – 510,000 new cases Globally every year (2018)

The numbers of these patient populations were rather eye popping 4-5yrs ago.......and they only continue to increase. -Kmal

Kmall, thanks for bringing your extensive research back to the fore where it belongs and portends interesting things for the future. The hiring pattern alone (unless we are being seriously gaslighted), suggests many hidden irons in the fire. Please see next thread.
