Re: Number of attendees at various meetings
Those are big numbers. Based on what Dr. Scarlett said about presenting the trial results to an as large as possible audience, we may expect a presentation on either of those or even all three.

To keep it in perspective I would guess about one half are docs, the rest nurses, students, industry, journalists etc. bp

Docs are very important. They are the ones that should prescribe imetelstat in the end. Do you think Dr. Scarlett was targetting another audience, e.g. investors, funds etc?
Re: Number of attendees at various meetings
Fish, yes, "industry" at these meetings means not only pharma but also financial. bp
Re: Number of attendees at various meetings
The membership at medical societies usually does refer to the doctors. The # of doctor attendees at a meeting of the society often is in proportion to its' membership size.
Looking at the total # of registered attendees of a particular meeting will also include a significant proportion of vendors, administrators, staff members.
I agree that the bigger the group, the wider the likely audience for an Imetelstat presentation.
