delprice on YMB has posted some pretty thoughtful comments. I would love to know his scientific background. He among others has probed the possible venetoclax/imet combo for other uses. Considering Scarlett's very low key comments I think they are being very circumspect for obvious reasons. The MOLM=13 cell line was derived from a patient with an MDS that progressed to AML. Scarlett has always emphasized the sensitivity of the myeloproliferative clone to imetelstat. We of course have no idea what preclinical work is being done to look at effects of this and other combo therapy on MF and MDS. If they can get some AML then it might be easier to get less undifferentiated cell in MF and MDS to target in the same way that ET response, way upstream in terms of differentiated disease (that is more organized cell types) was so dramatic in Dr. Boelacher's study and responded to a single agent. Some of us have come to look at the upcoming Q2 analysis as make or break but really single agent response while I hope is great is clearly not the whole story and J and J might have some important combination data to evaluate as well besides the AML data submitted to ASCO--hat tip to delprice --keep those cards and letters coming! Scarlett's references to "numerous" preclinical Janssen trials surely pertain to this area. Regards to all bp
