Is there dry powder from Down Under?

A few interesting things about Claudia Bruedigam. She led the leukemia group at QIMR and distinguished herself with several strong articles and most notably an article in Nature that defined the ferroptosis pathway as it related to Imetelstat. Her last abstract at ASH showed remarkable suppression of PDX preparations in vivo with ven/aza/Imetelstat. Recommended reading. Promised at the presentation was OS data, yet to come and will probably be presented at EHA. The point is that this data will form the basis for the clinical AML combo studies. Dr. B has left QIMR and runs a lab at Monash, a huge research oriented medical institution in Australia. It’s a promotion from QIMR and very academic. It is likely some lightning will be emitted from this lab and her fine work. She has a 1.5 M grant to support her work and has continued her relationship with Geron despite her move. We need some new strong data and I think it will come from here. Think she is keeping her powder dry until a major scientific presentation most likely EHA. Best Wishes in you new position, Dr. B!
