Ex-US Partnership off the table?

Was able to listen to today's fireside chat and was impressed overall with both CEO Dr. Scarlett and CFO Michelle Robertson on clinical and financial aspects both present and moving forward. Three interesting points I found here all pertaining to the highly anticipated EU commercial launch. For obvious reasons, a much different scenario then the US:

1. Geron is "talking with external vendors" in the EU. (Robertson)

2. "As a single product company, not investing heavily" in the EU. (Robertson)

3. "Not an attractive market to give to someone else." (Dr. Scarlett)

Overall, a good lead into ASH, where we are also to expect some preliminary data on P3 IMpact (MF). Dr. Scarlett seemed confident and hopeful that OS will be a significant game changer in the space. Just my two cents. -Kmall

I am glad it is likely off the table - they dont want a partner because they are going to sell after getting EMA approval for MDS and results for MF

RC - I'm in your camp. A partnership would have complicated a buy out. However, depending on data from the primary completion estimate date (11/25/2026), there's a good chance (speculation) they get a substantial offer before approval. -Kmall

i agree - if the primary data is strong (and Geron said they would apply for approval immediately if it was) the price will go up reflecting approval and likely sales - then the buyout can be negotiated
