Re: Xmas Gift For The Board......Sr. Field Medical Liason
According to the website, Geron has posted seven (7) new/open positions within the last week. These new job postings have been initiated within 2-3 weeks of TLR, and three (3) of the new positions directly pertain to patient marketing. Additionally, a "forecasting" position was posted ~2 weeks ago. ...

Re: Xmas Gift For The Board......Sr. Field Medical Liason
Hey BP, Merry Christmas to you. I appreciate the clarification on Geron’s prior search efforts. I recall them discussing the topic a few years ago, but I was not aware of such an extensive effort. Do you happen to know what they were shopping for? Stated differently, were they looking for a better t...

Re: Xmas Gift For The Board......Sr. Field Medical Liason
Kmall, Thanks for all your comments & efforts. FYI...I'm in same boat as you. I haven't sold any shares, and I dislike the company's pay/bonus scheme. Sadly, I've become numb to the company's hiring, pay, option grant, and bonus payout schemes (based on non-stretch targets) over the last few years. ...

Two recent observations.....
While there are a number of potential signals available for interpretation, there are two recent observations that resonate with me. I've detailed them below for board review, comment, and discussion. Thanks in advance for your feedback. Happy Holidays to everyone. ----------------------------------...

Re: We have done our homework, now the hard part, patience
BP, I've always felt the rampant short-selling back in 2018 was most likely based on inside information. Regardless of my opinion, I'm glad our current short percentage is relatively low and we're not under such an attack heading into our upcoming data readout. I'm not an options expert, but it seem...

Re: We have done our homework, now the hard part, patience
There was another leading indicator back in 2018 that doesn't get much consideration. There was rampant shorting of GERN stock in the days leading up to JNJ's decision. While many of us were focusing on indicators such as clinical data, potential uses, twitter comments, compassionate use, and job po...

Re: Question on trial design & statistical interpretations
If memory serves, I believe an 8-wk TI period counts regardless of timing. Stated differently, a healthy patient who achieves an 8-wk TI period early in their treatment period counts the same as a sicker patient who realizes a 8-wk TI period later in their treatment period. Further, I recall from pr...

Re: Question on trial design & statistical interpretations
The two metrics are likely to move together in same direction. A “healthier” average patient population is likely to yield higher 8-wk TI rates in both arms while a sicker patient population (ie higher average transfusion burden at enrollment) is likely to yield lower 8-wk TI rates in both the place...

Question on trial design & statistical interpretations
Can someone help me better understand the "statistically powered" comments on Slide 17 (shown below) of latest corporate presentation? I'm interested to know how to properly interpret them, and how a couple of trial scenarios would be viewed relative to the trial design. For example, what would it m...

MDS Patient Forums (Monitoring?)
Q: Anybody monitoring patient forums/boards for potential info on the MDS and/or MF trials? Facebook groups, Patient Power, MPN Forum, etc? FYI....I suspect our next (Q3) quarterly earning call will coincide with ASH Abstracts being available. I'm hoping/expecting to see pre-clinical lymphoma result...

I'm cautiously optimistic as well, but I'm anxious/concerned about pandemic impacts on patient treatment regimens, discontinuations, etc. Any thoughts along these lines?

What was the part about "not many patients enrolled yet" in the QT part (extension) of the study?
Do we know if that part has been fully enrolled yet?

Re: Topics for this week's update....
BP, Can you say more about the 1-day QT trial duration? I don't understand. Are they recruiting new patients specifically for a 1-day QT evaluation? Alternatively, are they recruiting new MDS patients for the trial that will be subjected to the 1-day QT trial as part of the broader MDS treatment reg...

Re: Topics for this week's update....
I haven't listened to the full call, but I did glance at the transcript. Am I correct that the re-enrollment of the MDS study was not mentioned or explained? I see the TopLine results are still expected early January, so that would indicate (obviously) the QT study isn't very material to the study. ...

Re: New Patent Application for Geron (Subcutaneous TI)
It's a "Composition of Matter" patent that protects the specific drug formulation. The patent has been the subject of a Re-Examination. Thus, the granted claims have been reviewed AND re-reviewed by the USPTO. You can assume the existing granted claims are valid and will likely hold-up to any challe...

New Patent Application for Geron (Subcutaneous TI)
Too early to get excited, but this is definitely a step forward. I was hoping to find new patent application for an orally administered TI. Instead, I found this one on Subcutaneous TI administration. It just recently published and it belongs solely to Geron. NOTE: This is not yet a granted patent. ...

Add your questions / thoughts as appropriate. Maybe Dr. Scarlett will see the list prior to Thursday's update. 1) QT Study * Explanation (why needed, benefits, etc) * Incremental costs * Impact (if any) on availability of Topline MDS results? 2) Ukraine/Russia * Impact on P3 data integrity / availab...

Re: Fellow Board Members
BP, I echo everyone else's appreciation for your efforts & update. Good news that it isn't being done in response to a safety observation (or concern), and good news that it won't take long to complete the study. However, I did notice the expected trial enrollment is now listed at 278.....up from a ...

Re: Time Flies Like An Arrow
