Re: AML/MDS
Cheng, I am sure it is a good question, but too technical for me to answer. Hopefully somebody with the proper knowledge is able to respond.

Re: Back to the EU--hat tip to Annie hi
I can imagine that the EMA tries to do intermediate evaluations of non-approved ODD drugs, just to see if everything is still okay with the drug. That means that they may have received some kind of intermediate data from JnJ.

Re: Back to the EU--hat tip to Annie hi
On the EMA website itself we can read the following about ODD for imetelstat: 'The sponsor has provided sufficient information to show that imetelstat sodium might be of significant benefit for patients with myelofibrosis. The medicine works in a different way to existing treatments and early studie...

Re: Back to the EU--hat tip to Annie hi
I am not sure what the difference is. OD approval seems to similar as 'normal' approval? Or are you aware of special tests and procedures that are needed to follow in order to get OD approval? In December 2015 imetelstat got ODD based on convincing arguments and unanymous decision (I read that on th...

Thread on trial enrollment numbers is launched. I will check how best to keep track of EMA developments. We can start a thread for that one too.
No idea about TAM-818 or Seirra.

Re: EMA action yesterday?
I don't see this text on the 11-13 July agenda. Where did he/she got it from? However, there has been a similar text in the report of the 14 December 2016 decision on the ODD for imetelstat: "Public summary of opinion on orphan designation; Imetelstat sodium for the treatment of myelofibrosis" (publ...

Overview heme diseases in oncology space
Because imetelstat is being mentioned as being specifically promising in heme-onco diseases, it may be interesting to make an inventory of the potential indication. Clayton1021 has posted this impressive list on SA: Myeloproliferative neoplasms "Myeloproliferative neoplasms are a type of blood cance...

Re: Geron: Announcing Imetelstat Patent Protection Through 2032
Herewith a comment by Hoosier (author of the SA article). Hoosier: I've been actively monitoring the status of the US20140163090 application for ~18 months (since it first published), and I sent a congratulatory note to Dr. Scarlett on 10/2/15.....the day USPTO provided their 'Notice of Allowance' f...

Hi Robt, thanks for joining ImetelChat. The latest three patents that were anounced today also have been discussed on SA, just like some of the other posts on this threat. Just read through it and you will see.

Hip, indeed, it wat posted earlier, but it is good to repeat it. Intriguing how they caem to these indications that could potentially benefit from imetelstat: myelodysplastic syndromes (known from Mayo and JnJ) acute myeloid leukaemia (known from Lane and Geron) neuroblastoma? Wilms tumour? hepatobl...

I guess we need to wait for the minutes. Let's keep an eye on it.
YMB killed: given the recent level of messages that's the best thing to do. I just don't understand the new format. I don't recognize the names and there seems to haven been a selection of posts from the old board. Well, who cares....

Re: Geron patents
Another comment by Hoosier from SA (9 July 2016) regarding the US8785409 patent. Hoosier: I would appreciate scientific review/comment on US8785409. The background section of the patent highlights GRN163 and GRN163L as 1st and 2nd telomerase inhibitors, respectively. Then, as they (Sergei & Shay) ou...
