Bio, nice response. There are also a couple nice responses to your comment. So I would encourage people to go to SA in order to read them all.

Re: Geron patents

I did some research on Tefferi and patents. At FreshPatents.com he is mentioned as co-inventor in 26 patents. His latest patent 'Methods and materials for treating hematological malignancies' (USPTO Applicaton #: #20160287625; only 6 pages...?) seems to be the only one where he is mentioned as the s...

Re: Geron patents

You're right, bio. But in two years they have not found any infringement of existing Geron patents, so granting is pretty on its way. WilliamW: I consider Tefferi's patent as positive for various reasons: 1) it shows that Tefferi is positive about imet 2) that he may foresee to make business with it...

Re: Geron patents

Hunt, I saw it and it is very interesting indeed. The point is that Tefferi has been granted a patent for a specific use of imetelstat. I am not sure if I have seen a doctor of his caliber doing that before. What a clever guy! He must be very confident about the drugs' clinical and commercial potent...

Re: Approval process in Europe

Hi Hunt: I wish I knew. There is a European process based on the principle of Compassionate Use. There is a process for that, although I don't if that is for individual patients. I briefly looked at it and it seems rather bureaucratic. We will not know when JnJ will submit the NDA for imetelstat unt...

Re: The mysterious pilot study

Bio: the pilot Mayo study (NCT01731951) does have a DMC as from the start. In the normal view you won't see it. But if you display the changes and then make sure nothing is hided, you will see that there is a DMC( <has_dmc> Yes). IMbark on the contrary has no DMC yet (<has_dmc> No). I don't know why...

Re: The mysterious pilot study

irish: that could be very well possible. All this testing should lead to something. Mayo, JnJ and FDA now must have quite an interesting amount of data, which is not generated to be ignored. All this testing has cost ten's of millions so far, with many patients on the drug. There must have been some...

Re: The mysterious pilot study

These 7 sites were not recruiting YET. What I meant was more all these other sites, who are recruiting. Some of them for quite some time. What are they doing with those recruited patients? I know the CT site is not very reliable in all details. But according to the decission to suspend further recru...

Re: The mysterious pilot study

Mysterious indeed. For sure a lot of data are being collected. Another thing which is not clear to me: only 7 sites from the long list of Imbark pilot sites are not yet recruiting. All the others are! What happens to those who are being recruited? Waiting months and months to finally get the first d...

Sergei Gryaznov: the interview

Dr. Kanak Kanti De had an interview with Dr. Gryaznov on 16th of February 2015, not long after the collaboration agreement between Geron and JnJ was sealed. Dr. Gryaznov, being responsible for a large part of Geron's current IP, is now engaged by JnJ and will give a presenation about imetelstat on 2...
