Re: The curious case of the abstracts that didn't bark

CKTC, thank you for responding. It looks like Imetelstat "knocks back" malignant clones, allowing bone marrow normalcy to recover but that the disease can smolder and later cause clinical recurrence. I was hoping for some discussion from Geron regarding assessment of MRD. Clonal selection is a probl...

Re: The curious case of the abstracts that didn't bark

Also while we are on the subject of KOL's, Dr. Steensma from the Dana Farber (which also did not contribute patients to either the IMbark or IMerge studies) has taken an interest in Imetelstat. I suspect when we see new sites added to Part II of the MDS trial and perhaps also the IMpactMF we will se...

Re: The curious case of the abstracts that didn't bark

CKTC, no question the heavyweights are on board. Thank you for emphasizing this. Would you please comment on the following observation? I've been waiting for someone else to confirm this thought but I will present it to you and the board. It was been touched on before but I really think it should be...

Re: The curious case of the abstracts that didn't bark

Oh I didn't mention that we were being prepared for no KOL meeting this year. I think because there is nothing new to say until there is new data from the PIIIs. Pour a drink, wear a mask and wait. We have had a lot of practice doing just that. bp

The curious case of the abstracts that didn't bark

First off the abstracts were released a day early. This could give unfair advantage to anyone who expected the abstract release on Nov 5th. I call foul on ASH. Remember when the Mayo abstract info was released inappropriately early? That of course was years ago. So a few curious things about this ye...

Re: My favorite abstract

Right. A lot. A whole lot. The potential to change the entire natural history of these diseases is apparent. Including impacting the evolution to AML.

Another potential combo? About dasatinib from Wikipedia: “ Dasatinib was developed by collaboration of Bristol-Myers Squibb and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd,[13][14][15] and named for Bristol-Myers Squibb research fellow Jagabandhu Das, whose program leader says that the drug would not have come i...

My favorite abstract

Every year I ask Dr. Scarlett if there is evidence with the observed disease modification, if some statement can be made regarding the progression of MDS and the transformation to AML can be made. Every year he says there is not enough data. Fair enough. But this year we see an exciting new abstract...

Re: ASH presentations

Hi FC4364, thank you for posting. Yes, having all of Geron's submissions accepted is impressive. I would caution you to be careful not to "double count" which is easily done with computer searches. It does seem that a significant amount of the data has been presented before at EHA and the Geron PR a...

Re: There are two things

Jingle, right. I don’t dispute the quality of the former Jansen employees at all. The timeline to approval doesn’t change despite the expertise they bring.

There are two things

There are two things that will improve this stocks value. 1. A partnership 2. A buyout. There is nothing else really. As most of you know I have supported the Geron narrative for many years and I have been "guilty" of contributing to it. Lately, I confess to find it troubling to find my words from y...

musketeer, ASH is not next week. It starts Dec 5th and will be virtual. The abstracts are released about a month before the meetings but the information is embargoed regarding any discussion or elaboration. bp

Re: New article

Note the line in the article that says some pts continue to receive drug. These are the Continuing TI patients. How many there are we will know next week. Add another six months to the durability data we know so far. Would love to know what those bone marrows look like. bp

Re: 4 new sites added to MDS study

Ah, bet crossover allowed only after (and if) early look is significant at which point primary end point would be proven but study would continue. At that point provisional approval could be requested.

Re: 4 new sites added to MDS study

CKTC, was thinking about your comment re crossover. Clearly allowing crossover is morally correct. But since mortality is the primary endpoint and not some other (admittedly more nebulous endpoint like disease progression), won’t allowing crossover murkify the mortality end point, prolong the study ...

4 new sites added to MDS study

Study continues to ramp up. Several sites still "active but not recruiting" but presumably will be in the near future. At this point each site only needs to enroll about 2 patients to get to the finish line. Since we have not yet received confirmation about reaching the 50 % enrollment mark, I would...
