Re: EHA Abstracts
I think this copy/paste of what I wrote on Yahoo! pretty much sums it up: Piles and piles and piles of flimsy data... All that flimsy data stacked on itself over the course of over a decade, adds up to - A drug therapy (in mono) that has proven* to have a strong safety profile and oh by the way deli...

Re: Near term events
What’s left of the optimism and patience I have left, is being exuded for these next 4-6 weeks. A decade of groundbreaking preclinical work + early and mid-stage trials, which have shown an acceptable safety profile along with efficacious effects for patients, makes the path of Imetelstat primed for...

Re: AML - Q4
AML is such a massive opportunity.
The fact that AML is now on the table is a game changer.
I know the world is in an even bigger game changer, but, this too shall pass.
Time is on our side. Just the fact that AML trial is finally seeing the light of day is so so positive in so many ways, period.

Off-topic: Virus do target stem cells
Nothing to say on geron but keep waiting, in the meantime some light reading from Oxford: https://academic.oup.com/femsle/article/226/2/203/577444#94296349 If you want to read about why I am so confident on Imetelstat, still, find the “Imetelstat AML” ASH abstract from 2016, or find Dr Rizo’s brief ...

Re: AML - Q4
Another point to add to my AML thoughts (&optimisn): - The groundbreaking AML preclinical data for Imetelstat was published at ASH 2016. This data was stunning and called for / merited additional studies. Since then, so long ago, not a peep about another AML study. Now, all of a sudden, there is a p...

Bravo, STA. I agree with you each and every point.
Imetelstat will be approved, moving through the finish line of the Byzantine FDA process. It’s the when that is the only question.

Re: AML - Q4
I tend to agree, but trying to anticipate that is not a leap I’m willing to make. Q2 is a couple weeks away. Additional data from both studies at a medical conference piqued my interest. Hopefully these conferences actually happen - I assume they will publish abstracts at the very least. If ASH does...

AML - Q4
I’m pleased.
MF still in FDAs hands.
MDS moving forward, towards almost certain success. Horizon still far away.
AML study to commence in Q4. Three things in my mind:
- It’s a beautiful thing.
- A partner will surface (imo)
- Finally

Thanks for consolidating the option #s by year.
I may be wrong, but I don’t believe the lawyer Rosenstein sold all his shares when he made a sale before the Janssen decision.

Re: A Salute to Memom
Very true, recently lost my Dad who battled for years against blood cancer (CML) ~ ironically (if that’s the right word) I was in GERN long before his diagnosis, and I’m staying in the fight in his honor. Lost my Mom to breast cancer, and was truly saddened when Imet failed in early phase solid tumo...

Re: Hat tip to hay flick YMB
Still all about the trial(s), but this is interesting. Thanks to hay flick, even the name delivers knowledge, but there is no “limit” to the knowledge and latest news he’s delivering. (It’s a nerd joke.)

Re: ASH 2019
Yes, that was in regard to the Phase III patients, who are enrolling now. I am talking about the Phase II patient cohort. Last data cut was EHA in the summer and we may see updated data, which could allow us to learn more about the durability of the TI. One patient had gone from high transfusion bur...

ASH 2019
Well there have been numerous ‘big’ ASH events / abstracts for Geron in the past several years. They all seem to come in like a lion and out like a lamb. (Not the least of which was Dr. Tefferi’s abstract in 2013, which revealed efficacy in both indications across a handful of patients. Stock went u...

In the ASH disclosures, I see that Dr P, who will be flying from Europe to be the presenter of the poster at ASH, is a Consultant for Novartis, a Consultant for Celgene, and a Consultant for Abbvie.
Rest assured these trials are in good hands and have the interest of large biopharmas.

Re: Ash posters
In regards to the conference call, Dr. Rizo did most of the talking... She explained everything going on pretty succinctly imo, and the bit of color regarding sequential dosing was of interest. As she stressed, there is a lot of critical thinking to be done for these combos, completely new terrain a...

Re: Ash posters
Patience is an easy concept but difficult in practice. These trials are supremely trying he patience of all (hand raise), but it doesn’t change that the scientific progress has been nothing short of spectacular. I’ll add the key executive hires in the past year into that adjective spectacular. Those...

Re: Ash posters
What we found out this morning: - Combo trials are in play * Would love to see the AML combo re-emerge soon - MDS updated data is coming * Would love to see continued durability of Transfusion Independence. At what point is the TI 'tantamount to a cure'?;) - Pre-clinical research and investigation i...

Dr. Rizo Abstracts
As we know, Dr. Rizo has been a contributor on numerous abstracts during her distinguished career, and as has been documented here, her name has appeared on Imetelstat abstracts as part of the Janssen team. So I would not be surprised to see a new Imetelstat abstract released for ASH this year... ho...

Re: New Corporate presentation
Fast Track was achieved much earlier in MDS Phase II because the goal of Transfusion Independence was achieved quickly for patients. Now the MDS indication is moving into late stage for patients with specific biomarkers, and again these TIs could come quickly. Within 6 months we could (*should) have...
