Re: Just for fun... and happier hope

Let’s hope she was right. I met Sai Babba in India when I did some volunteer work in a hospital there. He gave me a ring to thank me for my work which I passed on to a devotee who was profoundly grateful. Best wishes,bp

I am not sure what you are referring to that I missed. But I don't doubt you are correct. I have missed a lot over the years and its only getting worse. :)

Re: Where's Waldo?

Bucbeard, Thank you for your kind words. I am afraid if you could look into my mind you would see something more akin to a lava lamp with many simultaneous ideas that float, fight and then fade. Many a therapist has tried to turn it into the organized file cabinet it should be and failed. My comment...

Where's Waldo?

There have been youtube presentations re MF post ASH that have been pretty accessible from Dr. Mascarenhas and Dr. Kiladjian. Yet none from Dr. Steensma or Dr. Platzbecker re the lower risk MDS study. Both are often "interviewed" post major heme/onc meetings. Its hard to draw any conclusions from th...

Thank you to Geron

For updating the web site and making access to the publication section more accessible, I think those did not know the "combination lock" to that section will be appreciative. bp

Its highly unlikely...

Its highly unlikely that there will be no significant news until the second half of 2022 when top line data from the MDS study will make its debut. There are many analyst meetings and quarterly financial reports between now and then with content that needs to be filled. Assuming no new studies are a...

Revisiting ASH

Now that the actual slides are posted on Geron's site (why the site makes it so difficult to find I can't explain), I had a chance to review each presentation and would be interested in anyone else's take away's. The MDS trial is now 50% enrolled even at the height of COVID and is moving along. The ...

This was a great press release, here's why

While seemingly boiler plate the PR reminds of two things: 1. " Currently, no drug therapy has been shown prospectively to alter or delay disease progression. " Geron will likely be the first. 2. The MOA is directed at the malignant progenitor cell. This is unique and strikes at the root of the dise...

Re: 50% enrollment news

Don't get your hopes up there, this is pro forma for a pediatric committee with is a pre requisite for future filing. Very far in the future. One more duck in a row though.

Re: Dr. Scarlett has done a great job differentiating...

"Our" Dr. Mascarenhas has described this drug as representing a paradigm shift (sound familiar?) and one that is simple to use (oral agent).

It just is so troubling to know that years ago this drug was being considered for compassionate use.

Dr. Scarlett has done a great job differentiating...

Dr. Scarlett's job just got a lot harder. He did a great job differentiating Imetelstat from Luspatercept and showing where in the treatment scheme Imetelstat is likely to be placed. Now with the new Constellation data it appears we have further competition from an oral agent that (PIII in first lin...
