Does anyone have any idea how transparent Janssen

Has to be with Geron on other things they may be tinkering with? We all know about AML possibilities, but if Janssen is already doing anything preclinical in pushing imet as a truly platform drug do they have to divulge this? Imet as a platform would push the value into the stratosphere obviously.

Dog--They absolutely do not have to divulge. Scarlett has alluded to an extensive about of preclinical research (also know as skunkworks) that is going on at Janssen we know nothing about. Why tip your hand to the competition? Lots of hints that have open the door to one's imagination, the Yale study, the AML combo study, the extensive list of diseases covered by the recent patent application not to mention all of the pre Scarlett solid tumor studies, brain, breast, lung, CLL, myeloma which "failed". Certainly useful data was derived from these studies but the expected dramatic results did not materialize. I and others think that since these were single agent studies, perhaps they will be revisited in light of new preclinical work done in the labs at Janssen. It could be that myeloproliferative diseases are just the tip of the iceberg but of course that is highly speculative. We probably won't know about specific future areas of clinical investigation until studies start showing up on clinical trials.gov bp
