On the importance of inflammation
An article several years ago, authored by Dr Steensma and others highlighted the non heme causes of death in myeloproliferative diseases, particularly due to cardiovascular causes thought to be due to active vascular inflammation that accompanies many cancers. An upcoming EHA presentation looks at the effect of Imetelstat on inflammation.
