Today on YMB Stiglgseven kindly provided the link below to a recent Geron patent. As you can see it is huge and is taking us down the road of combination therapy with a BCL-2 inhibitor and Imetelstat. CKTC pointed this possible efficacious combination to me several years ago and provided a very interesting article to back it up. The reference in buried somewhere in Imetelchat if anyone wants to dig it up. Notably the FDA has yet again caused delay, this time regarding the proposed Geron/investigator initiated study with combination therapy in AML until the single agent study has data. If ever there were a promising right to try crying out for a chance this would be it since the prognosis is so short as it is. Time to put some fuel in that cancer moonshot.
