Well Imerge and Imbark are study names and Intelleg presumably would be a drug name? Other potential drug names posted on YMB. Not sure what to make of it.
Re: Can anyone make sense of this?
It's the trade (brand) name under which Geron plans to sell imetelstat.
Re: Can anyone make sense of this?

Right, so they haven’t settled on a name or there is more in the pipeline (the latter pretty unlikely). Do they really have to do market research to puck a name ($). I can help, get rid of I’m Steady. Well maybe Imsteady not so bad.
Re: Can anyone make sense of this?
I can only imagine the time and money spent on focus groups and marketing consultants to come up with these five possibilities: Voytelo, Rytelo, Imstedy, Telryza, and Imtellig. Might as well trademark each of them. After all, what's a few hundred thousand more in legal fees at this point? lol

For that money we could come up with much better names. Wish John had just asked us. I have help a major device company with names and helped them avoid bad ones. For now how about Mello Tello, Eu Tel ‘Em, Tello Tubby. Could save millions paid to Dewey Cheetum and Howe. Is a different name for European market possible? Tello Brex?

Brexitel?
Re: Can anyone make sense of this?
A quick google shows that they have to come up with lots of different names and then the FDA and other bodies then decide which one they will use.
Probably best to trade mark all of the ones they put forward so there isnt a problem later

Re: Can anyone make sense of this?
We also have other heme indications - PV ET and AML - some of these names could be for that

Looks like the FDA gets final say in name choice to avoid potential confusion with other drugs so more than one name is submit for consideration

Anyone know at what point in the approval process a company typically asked the FDA to approve a trade name?
