Ha, no, and even putting that into Google only brought me back to this post.

with MDS-RS, three (38%) of eight transfusion-dependent patients became transfusion-independent at a median time of 11 weeks and their response lasted for a median of 28 weeks (range, 9–37); one of the three patients also had resolution of leukocytosis and thrombocytosis. From mutation standpoint, 3...

MAIA is still taking investors... you just have to be a real person (i.e., someone that can meet the SEC "Qualified Investor" standard). Obviously that rules out all of us that lost our money in the Discontinuation, but there are about 18.6 million Americans that qualify: https://spendmenot.com/blog...

Andrew, the issue with this patent is prior art. Yes, it includes 6-thio-dG... BUT, that chemical was already used in oncology a few times decades ago.
So it's up to a long, expensive patent-court duel with MAIA... and Regeneron.

Will this be another virtual meeting? It would be pretty dangerous to ask about 6-thio-dG in person
He'll evade the question anyway, but better to ask two years late than not at all. Stockholders deserve an answer.

Re: MAIA Biotechnology has a combo trial
YES! Who owns the 6-thio-dG IP... if there is any. GERN has a patent... but 6-thio-dG has some clinical oncology use from before the patent. And of course as usual, Geron has said nothing at all about an IP agreement. So, is MAIA a possible Geron savior... or just another typical pharma ten-year law...

Good summary. In a lot of alternate universes, imetelstat went into combo trials on blood cancer in 2006, and at this point is obsolete, having been replaced by 6-thio-dG or something better.
We're stuck in the universe where Skynet has no competition from carbon-based life.

Re: Over/Under on Full enrollment in MDS
I agree, in September GERN will finally have all the patients for one trial. This delay was mostly the EU's fault for its pathetically bad vaccination programs. They are even worse than US FDA/CDC ineptitude. And of course, only Turkey has made any use of the successful Phase 3 on NAD+ boosting vs. ...

Re: Why does Geron's presentation show EU approval after FDA?
Statistically, that would be the normal order. The EMA is, on average, even slower than the US to approve drugs and vaccines. For example, look at the vaccination rate by country. Most EU countries have barely started... and that's while the US gave everyone else a head start by not approving the AZ...

Well, it's moot now, FC... the short interest fell by 37 million shares.
So, in theory, that's statistically a great sign. If this weren't Geron, one could imagine that the smart money saw something good happening in the near future.

Re: Musings on Geron's current and future position
You'll recall that they made their SARS-CoV-2 vaccine in TWO DAYS. The only delay in getting it out was from FDA forcing them NOT to pay for trial volunteers from high-risk groups.... so they were forced to give vaccines to 35,000 mostly younger white women, thus not getting enough cases. Had they t...
