Re: Frontline MF vs R/R MF spleen size

I guess so. That's maybe why we won't see a P3 in IMbark. That saves a lot of time...

Re: Frontline MF vs R/R MF spleen size

Things change if you have relatives/close friends who actually suffer from this diseases. I have personal experience with that and feel very much with you. My father died in 2016 from complications of PV and I have a good friend suffering from Post PV MF. Another friend just had stem cell transplant...

Re: Frontline MF vs R/R MF spleen size

Hi Hunt, thanks for this personal story. It tells a lot.... Within the MF patients population there is large heterogeneity. I have a friend with post ET MF. She has suffered from an enlarged spleen for many years, even far before it turned into MF. Now her spleen can't be removed anymore, because th...

Btw: I do think communication can be better. Maybe that's why they are hiring a new Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications?

Re: Geron’s fiduciary responsibility

Hunt, you raise many interesting issues. I always appreciate your posts. For now, I decided to trust that they do everything what is in their power to bring imetelstat to market asap. Will that be enough? Only time will tell. I am not going to sit on the chair of the Executives or BoD. I just decide...

Re: Using OS can be particularly difficult for new therapies in hematologic malignancies

All good points, important to be aware of. In the case of IMbark and the high risk status fo these patients, OS may not be the right endpoint. But median OS might, as that takes into account that at a certain moment in time certain patients may not have died yet, whereas median OS could have been re...

Re: Is the MDS trial still joined to the MF trial?

Based on what JS has said about that (also in 8K/10Q) the answer is yes. But I am not sure what to think about this somewhat strange inter dependency. If I ignore what JS said, I would think that JnJ could take a positive continuation decision if MDS goes well as it seems to do. The JnJ website says...

Re: Current 1Q18 MF median OS review and related upcoming reporting

Unfortunately, John passed away last year. I suppose irishtrader lost her motivation to post. I am not aware of the details regarding his imetelstat treatment, only that he wasn't on the drug anymore for a while.

Informative video from Alessandro Vannucchi about imetelstat in the landscape various other approaches. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-VqRLEZylQ About imetelstat he says: 'One of these new drugs that are the most appealing based on the results of the Phase2 trials, is off course imetelstat.' Re: Fishermagnets response to SA article today

Hi Dogo, I posted some comments on SA today. If an article is clearly constructed with the purpose of creating a negative image it is difficult to decide where to start. Just take the title: it suggests imetelstat is haunted by a series of death incidents. But reading the article you will see that t...

Credits go to huntingtonthebluffs, who actually had the conversation with Anna. Anna tried to protect us from having to high expectations regarding the level of detail we can expect from the next update. So I think we really need to wait and see, as Anna didn't really clarify a lot. She is not in th...

Re: Take aways from today's telco (1 Aug 2017)

Just an update based on the 19 December 2017 Geron telco, where Dr. Raza spoke about MDS and imetelstat. During the Q&A she said the following: 'Once the drug gets approved, then everybody will be using this upfront. It is not like we happily use lenalidomide or HMA's in that group'. And: 'My person...

Re: Dr. Raza

I think this is interesting enough to quote here: 'Once the drug gets approved, then everybody will be using this upfront. It is not like we happily use lenalidomide or HMA's in that group'. And: 'My personal experience with the drug has not been intense myelosuppression at all. It's reversible, man...

Median OS in IMbark

On SA there has been an interesting contribution from MedTechBio (MTB), who elaborated a theory on the estimated median OS in IMbark, based on the information we have today. Here are some quotes. Median survival for patients taking Imetelstat may already exceed double and may soon exceed triple the ...
