Re: Interesting Continuing Education item

Every reader of this board should know or should have known what the correct answer was.

Re: A new Irish Trader? Hat tip to Paul C

Dr. Scarlett confirmed today that the ventricular repolarization substudy is ongoing and continues to enroll. That could address the issues raised by CKTC re enrollment timeline.

Re: MDS foundation - first post I read

RC, good question about standard review. I doubt Geron would pass up the possibility for priority review as they could always go back to the FDA with new AML data later. I think priority was not granted because, well I just don’t know why. In my mind it was a mistake, or driven by other factors, per...

Re: MDS foundation - first post I read

If the MDS foundation is true to their mission, at the very least a link to the EAP on clinical trials should be posted, preferably by the hosts of their website. That is unless there are other censorial forces at play.

Re: Regional Business Directors to spearhead incoming sales force.....

Land Ho indeed matey. Give yourself some credit here. You were the one who emphasized that when a first class sales force was assembled, that would be the marker for breakout.

Re: A new Irish Trader? Hat tip to Paul C

Great question and the enrollment times don’t really work out. He could as you suggest be in the ventricular repolarization sub study which was separate and ongoing and perhaps subject to different enrollment dates. This latter study does allow for crossover from placebo if there is no benefit after...

Re: A new Irish Trader? Hat tip to Paul C

Kmall, am going to assume you meant Imetelstat infusion. It’s a good question. As the bone marrow recovers (assuming the patient responded to treatment) and the blood picture improves I think you are asking if the time between treatments can be increased or the dose of Imet can be reduced. In lookin...

Kmall, I think I missed the point of your question. Maybe rephrase? Did you mean infusion in stead of transfusion?

Thanks Kmall, missed the attribution. I am not on Facebook. I get enough flak from other sources. :)

Re: A new Irish Trader? Hat tip to Paul C

This guy had to wait 5 years to feel good. The implications for earlier intervention and maybe front line may become obvious with more experience with the drug.

I am assuming he meant a rise in hemoglobin from 7.5 to 12.0 gm. Pretty impressive.

A new Irish Trader? Hat tip to Paul C

Reposted from Paul C on Stocktwits: “ I’m currently on this drug trial in the UK. I was diagnosed 4 years ago low risk watch and wait. 6 months later my bloods dropped and i started on weekly Epo & GCSF injections, these worked for around 18 months. I then began having blood transfusions every 4 wee...

Re: It pays to pay

Jay, thanks for posting. We have discussed previously the unholy marriage of industry and medicine without which not much would be happening over on the clinical trials web site. Psychiatry is particularly terrible since they have so little to work with. Almost no one engages in Freudian analysis th...

Re: Hat tip to Mike

Just the newer classification system that up’s more patients out of lower risk categories and highlights that there is utility in more advanced classifications going forward. Disease modification again mentioned. I think the subtext is that there is hope that progression to high risk and AML may be ...
