Re: EHA

jpheis, I agree, an oral presentation clearly carries more weight than a poster, so that is good. The presentation is listed to occur in a room rather than an auditorium but as I am not familiar with the conference venue I can't put too much weight on just how big an audience is expected to attend. ...

Re: EHA

Here's the link, note Dr. Raza as second author and plenty of representation from Janssen:

EHA

An abstract has been accepted for oral presentation at the EHA meetings. Not a poster. Abstract is embargoed until then (mid June). Suspect this will help confirm durability of MDS TI. bp

Thoughts about shareholders meeting

1. Scarletts ratio of words to throat clearing was maximal and his demeanor relaxed. 2. They will raise more money, be prepared for dilution. 3. The addition of GC capital indicates a seriousness of purpose in raising investor awareness and suggests a new PR approach regarding the general market. 4....

Re: Geron is getting aggressive

Thank you Hunt, I would add that there seems to be a new element added to investor relations with the addition of "CG Capital" link where Anna's link used to be. Perhaps some board member business types check it out and can tell us what this might mean. I looked at their website and could only think...

Re: Questions for shareholders meeting

Hip, Fish has been really busy and asked me to watch over his board for a little while, I miss his input also. Should be an interesting meeting. We are seeing a "loosening up" of Dr. Scarlett's vocabulary. "Independent Research Projects" (or something like that) is a new and an exciting one for me, ...

Questions for shareholders meeting

Hello Anna, with your permission, I would like to submit one more question for consideration that I hope Dr. Scarlett will address: First off, thank you to John and Geron staff for your efforts on behalf of your shareholders and for the development of treatments to bring hope for as yet untreatable ...

Today's earnings release

I think we are probably all (except for Phil!) a little taken aback by what was to me a surprise equity raise in the face of what we think should be near future good news and an anticipated stock price increase that might have brought a higher price if the data analysis for both studies were positiv...

Re: 2018 Imetelstat used, mentioned or quoted

Earfool, thank you for posting this interesting compendium of relevant articles. I apologize for not getting them on the board sooner as I am learning my way around the automatic "stops" that require review for all new posters. I will be more diligent about this (its a small box with a notification ...

Re: Phil

Phil, hats off and kudos for a very accurate call. My response to you was perhaps naive and loaded with confirmation bias. For Scarlett to do this in such proximity to the annual meeting suggests he might actually have something up his sleeve. If he doesn't, I'd like to know before the meeting so I ...

A summary of recent thoughts

A summary of recent thoughts: 1. MF R/R study is closed. Who closed it, Geron? No, Janssen. 2. A key secondary end point of OS was emphasized in recent clinical trials update, by whom, Geron? No Janssen. 3. Imetelstat remains on Janssen's NME list and Janssen has thrown down a claim for domination i...

Re: Quantitative analysis of Imetelchat

Hip, thank you for this reference (its pretty dense!) but continues to demonstrate Janssen's interest in Imetelstat on many levels. Here it its:

Re: Two takeaways from the recent news

Phil, a few further observations. 1. When you say J and J may not "opt in", I think you are referring to the continuation agreement which J and J can elect to continue their relationship with Geron or not. The actual "opt in" or "opt out" agreement actually pertains to Geron and is Geron's choice to...

Re: Two takeaways from the recent news

Phil, it would be nuts as far as I am concerned, to raise money before release of important information which all indicators suggest will have a positive impact on the stock price and strongly so. If Scarlett wanted to raise cash he would wait until the market absorbed the impact of the impending ne...

Clinical trials site shows high risk study primary completion date

The clinical trials site shows the high risk study has reached primary completion as of April 26th. I am not sure if this is a soft indication of one arm (4.7?) reaching OS--that is speculation. Now we wait (some more) Best wishes, bp

Geron 2017 annual report and letter to shareholders

Geron annual report and letter to shareholders now posted on Geron home page. This should assuage concerns by some that making the shareholder letter public previously may have violated a copywriter issue. This information is now clearly in the public domaine and worth a read. Best wishes, bp
