What is an "evolving landscape"
As if Dr. Scarlett hasn't been obscure enough over the years... How is the board interpreting this language? As examples: 1. We know Jakafi failures don't live long. 2. We know Imetelstat can result in CR and PRs but we don't know if true in R/R patients. 2. We know the preliminary data in MDS mirro...

Sdraw's observations have always been well considered and grounded. Thanks for sharing them. Fish this is a question for you. Do you remember reading in prior 10K's, updates on some patient deaths early in the study? These were expected given the severity of disease and the late stage that therapy w...

Re: New abstract
Just for interest, the doubling time for MOLM-13 cells is 50 hours. 77 days and 40 % survival suggests a wipe out of CSC's. Cheng where are you and do you think that could possibly be correct? bp

Re: New abstract
77 days is an unusual number of days to arbitrarily stop a study and almost surely reflects the deadline required for study completion and submission of the abstract. This of course means on April 3rd additional data can be presented that I hope will include more up to date additional mouse longevit...

Re: New abstract
New abstract has been release from embargo. I am sure Fish will post. Results very interesting. Combo resulted in significant apoptosis in vitro and significant life extension in 40% of mice 77 days after therapy stopped. I would love to know how many if any of the 40% survivors showed evidence for ...

New abstract
Fish saw your note about asking Anna about the new abstract. I would not expect her to respond. All we have in the public domaine is a title with no actual abstract until later today. At that point we might get some comment as part of todays Q4 2016 summary from Dr. S. He is confined to the "four co...

Re: Tefferi's patent 14 May 2015
Fish, let me add my thanks to hunt's comments regarding the quality of this board, the service, research and courtesy you have extended us. I would add only a couple of things. One is that I think there is enough information to infer that IMbark will stop after the Q2 review. I believe at that point...

Re: Dormant study revived?
Fish, my read is that a funding source was found apparently external to J and J. Whether they are contemplating actually doing the study now is of course unknown or whether some modification e.g. combo might move forward. I don't think its confidential, just that it might be non company sponsored. bp

Lane et al paper from ash
Was reviewing the very interesting presentation from the Lane group at ASH. They engrafted AML cells in mice and tested imetelstat. In responders (60%) the survival was a dramatic 50% at 300 days (p<.0001). This was not a combo study so I think we will see something pretty dramatic in the abstract r...

Here is a note I meant to send to Anna earlier when the new web site came out. Hi Anna, I have a dispassionate observation to share about the new website. It certainly is an improvement and conveys the company message well, except for one thing. The horse. So, the rocking horse is a childs toy and t...

Re: Why the AML trial didn't start in 2016
Fish, thanks for your excellent post. Anna's explanation is clearer that others I have read. I like many have no problem waiting if positive adjustments to the long term plan are based on as yet unevaluated results. I do object to Scarlett dangling the AML study as planed or even likely for 2016 and...

Re: Why I think April is a possibility
Hi Irish, thanks for your note and kind words. Yes I remember the "is Irish real" controversy well. But I knew you were because of your sincerity, defending you was easy for that reason alone and I was amazed at how many unkind people were posting awfulness to a family with a member with cancer. I h...

Re: Why I think April is a possibility
By the way four years is extraordinary especially given John original prognosis. I think the reason this is all taking so darn long is that J and J will provide clear longevity data, the longer the better. bp

Re: Why I think April is a possibility
Hi Irish, Thanks for the update. Wonderful to hear John (and you) are doing well. There must be some other patients in the imetelstat fraternal order that you run into on infusion days, can you let us know how any of them are doing? Oh, and Sargasso, you can play poker with me anytime, be sure to br...
