Timeline: Recruitment for the IMerge trial and interim analysis
(from sdrawkcabeman, YMB 7 March 2016) The initial cohort of up to 30 pts won't require all sites to be recruiting. I think a safe estimate is 0-3 pts per site; obviously sites w/higher population density might recruit more pts, and several very populous regions are among the recruiting locations. I...

Re: Slides are up
The slides of Geron's Feb 23 presentation at the RBC Captial Markets 2016 Global Healthcare Conference can be downloaded from the Geron homepage: http://www.geron.com/ Just take slide 3, where it says: "Continuing clinical data indicate broad and transformative potential of imetelstat" That's all I ...

Re: AACR2016: imetelstat and telomerase on the agenda; melanoma as a new indication?
Two observations:
- telomerase is becoming a regular topic on major conferences
- Janssen R&D steps up to the stage as co-author of the two imetelstat papers

AACR2016: imetelstat and telomerase on the agenda; melanoma as a new indication?
There are various presentations about imetelstat and telomerase. The melanoma one is interesting (potential new indication?), because it is a very agressive and deadly disease. We absolutely have to monitor these presentations and get a hold of the abstracts as soon as they are released. (Thanks Lig...

Re: Toll mediated receptors
Ligas, I will make a new topic on AACR2016, as there are also two presentations about telomerase. Btw: I see only the titles. That means that I can't judge the relevance. However, it has been selected for the agenda of this major event, so we can assume it has some relevance in the least. And Baerlo...

Re: Toll mediated receptors
Hi Ligas, I haven't been able to find the abstract/article, so I can't give an answer. Can you post a link? I couldn't find it either on the AACR website.

Hi Ligas, thanks for joining here! Although I really appreciate many of the SA contributions, I agree that there are too many general discussions, which for me are largely off topic. In addition, the message board is built around the articles. There are not many articles lately, which results in non...

Re: Slides are up
Pongz, thanks for your post. First: it is Geron who will decide to opt in or -out. JnJ will take the continuation decission (see earlier posts in this forum to learn more about this). Secondly: predictions about pps are very difficult and notoriously unreliable, even when based on the things we know...

Phil: where did you post the slides? I don't see them. You can post links here. I then can make them available here and through the imetelstat.info website.

Hi Phil, thanks for your post. Is there a direct link to the slides? It's not on Geron's website. You can post it here.
And also: have you also found the JnJ slides for today?

Re: Geron - Imetelstat achievements since 2014
irish, your speculation is acceptable as there are no significant facts to my knowledge that indicate your speculation being unrealistic. If imetelstat keeps performing without saftey problems, I don't see why your speculation couldn't become reality. Any other opinions?

Re: More PreMF patients within ET cohorts than currently diagnosed
When imetelstat is approved for MF, patients diagnosed with preMF-ET will get access to imetelstat also. Even in cases that there may still be some doubts, doctors can easily advocate towards MF diagnosis, certainly if fibrosis is already noticable in the bonemarrow through biopsy, possibly accompan...

For IMbark I missed Haifa, Israel, recruiting. That makes 42.

Re: Geron - Imetelstat achievements since 2014
Bio, I changed the list a bit according to the CT website info. I can also add sources to the items of the list. Would that be of help?
Maybe its better to leave subjective statements out. I will look at that.
