Re: Thinking Senyak? Think again
To find the Baerlocher ET report you go to imetelstat.info/clinical, scroll to 2015 and then find "Telomerase Inhibitor Imetelstat in Patients with Essential Thrombocythemia, G.M. Baerlocher et al (2015)" You can also go directly to the abstract here: http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1503479

Re: Thinking Senyak? Think again
I did check the ET trial report. The investigators were: United States: McDevitt, Michael / Odenike, Olatoyosi / Snyder, David / Spitzer, Gary / Verstovsek, Srdan Germany: Ottmann, Oliver, Rőth, Alexander Switzerland: Baerlocher, Gabriela M. / Daskalakis, Michael / Oppliger Leibundgut, Elisabeth Via...

Re: Thinking Senyak? Think again
Okay. He is criticizing the ET trial. Fine. But why does he advice patients not to participate to MF or MDS trials? This link is completely missing. I am totally lost on this guy.

Re: Thinking Senyak? Think again
Here are some comments on Senyak’s article collected from other forums: “His tactics certainly are not helping patients in need. Just to collect his paycheck. What does that make him?” “Pfew, just read the Zhen article. It made me want to puke all over my screen. Toxicity has always been a "problem"...

Thinking Senyak? Think again
The recent article of Senyak is a sad landmark in the existence of the MPN Forum. Being a forum for imetelstat I believed that such a blatant attack could not go by being ignored. Whatever Senyak's agenda is, it is a disgrace that he is trying to prevent suffering patients with no options from parti...

Re: Orphan drug designation
Hi Hunt, thanks for your telling post. I guess we all would like imetelstat out of its box asap in order to help suffering patients... Your post certainly reflects the frustrations and powerlessneess in these terrible, heartrending cases. The key of ODD benefits are as you mentioned; pretty straight...

Re: Annual Meeting
This is what Dr/Scarlett said at the Annual Meeting about 1st and 2nd base: “The challenge though, is that we have to get to first base, or at least second base. And second base in this case would be having some positive readouts from these studies. So I think that’s the first thing that really need...

Re: Annual Meeting
Hi Greg, Thanks for your comment. My take is that Geron is focused on preparing the next move for when they arrive at the second base (i.e. imet approval). That is all very delicate, as they have to secure the current process with JNJ in order to get to this second base. At the same time they have t...

Re: Annual Meeting
Here is Leviek's (SA) reply to Greg's report of the Annual Meeting: "../.. Your questions were outstanding and I have to credit you with being so specific as to get this response, "We are not in a position to comment about that today." Anyone here who thinks there are no catalysts is not paying atte...

ASCO abstract Tefferi available
The abstracts for ASCO 2016 are available now. The one from Tefferi is here: http://abstract.asco.org/176/AbstView_176_167633.html The abstract just describes IMbark. For most of us this is not new. Apperantly the ASCO program committee thought this to be interesting enough for their audience. What ...

Re: Annual Meeting
Thanks, hiprock. That is very interesting information! This strategy I can follow and support. With the current cash and milestone payments Geron is able to fund the organization and the costs of the trials. After approval real money will come in and the big play can start. In this light we can clea...

Bio, I am not sure which failure you are referring to, but I found this: ------- A randomized phase II study of the telomerase inhibitor imetelstat as maintenance therapy for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer. Chiappori et al, Feb 2015, published by Oxford University Press RESULTS: Of 116 patients...

Re: A dusting of breadcrumbs
I am a bit puzzled about this too. Preliminary results for ongoing trials can not be presented. At the same time they only select presentations that provide new information. Maybe there is a difference between actual results (PR's, CR's etc.) and the progress of the process of the trial itself. But ...

Re: "We have gotten positive feedback"
Hi Bio, thanks for your action. Sorry for not having responded earlier (I was busy outdors). I may add these questions: 1) - Are you aware of JNJ having shifted the anticipated IMbark completion date by moving it with one year from 2019 to 2018? - If so: what have been the rationale for that? - Does...

Re: "We have gotten positive feedback"
Bio, I understand your frustration, if I may call it like that. The problem is that we don't oversee all that is going on. Given the progress on the recruitment, the expanding of the number of sites, and with the 'positive feedback from the investigators' we can only assume that things are going wel...

Re: Some thoughts on the conference call, by Sdrawkcabeman
I think Leviek's questions are valid, but probably too sensitive regarding competition and potential candidates. I don't believe these kind of questions will get a specific answer just because some analyst asks for it. It will be announced when time is right. And then it will be a surprise. If we st...

Some thoughts on the conference call, by Sdrawkcabeman
YMB, 6 May 2016 Some thoughts on the conference call by Sdrawkcabeman Today's CC was a nonevent. As will be the next. Fact is, the schedule has been the same for some time. The next real move is Imerge's interim, when JNJ will push to P3. My best-case for that was Sept/Oct, but Dr. S indicated no mi...

Re: Of bread crumbs and myeloma
Great comment, Hiprock. As not everybody visiting this board has a SA account, I have copied the MM part of Hoosiers article here: Multiple Myeloma (MM) Janssen will revisit Imetelstat as a treatment for multiple myeloma based on the following: · Imetelstat and lenalidomide appear to have similar ef...
