Re: Worth watching this timely video
Interesting to see the clinician's perspective... and how they miss important aspects of their field. So frustrating to hear him say he would prescribe Luspatercept instead of imetelstat "because of cytopenias"... GERN and Janssen have known about the cyptopenia issue for years, and there are simple...

Re: Request to Bill W
Thanks bp. Of course I meant "clinical advantage", there would be a clear patent advantage to a new molecule for any company besides Geron. That's one of the problems in medicine... we use inferior, substitute molecules for many purposes because they are under patent, while the more suitable natural...

SA poster says that the international patent may still fly, just in more specific form: -------------------------------------------- Ex expat Claims would have to be narrowed, but there could be hope. "An independent claim restricted to combinations of Imetelstat sodium (GRN-163L) and Venetoclax (AB...

Re: Request to Bill W
It's just another telomerase inhibitor, like 6-thio-G. I don't see any advantage over 6-thio-G (the advantage of 6-thio-G over imet, remember, is that it doesn't need infusion and it's more powerful), and the disadvantage is that this has never been tested in humans, while 6-thio-G has. Maybe if the...

Venetoclax combo patent denied?
Doesn't look good for the international patent, if I'm reading this correctly. Is there a favorable ruling in the US? https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/docs2/pct/WO2018026646/pdf/8WMFslMpBnibBr_SoHOmfFWN_3fyuqbEDD0Ox8l69Gclo7epfnhSy5BU0KhJw-dvvpYkY33XCeYDgrSzjDQlVw3HPGtqHpTjq8vUpgbKnbRYNi8irsk4xV-...

Congrats on bailing out before the plane crashed, sargasso. Wish I'd overcome my confirmation bias and done the same thing when JNJ pulled the drug off the compassionate-use list... there were plenty of red flags.

Wow, if only there were some organization that had employees dedicated to promoting TI drugs ;) Great contrast here... Scarlett lying on the beach for millions, while kmall desperately works 12-hour days to promote imetelstat... while losing his retirement money in GERN. But it's worse yet for me......

Re: As we approach the annual meeting
That's a good list of questions. Make sure you post it on SA so that other GERN victims going to the shareholder meeting have it with them... Scarlett has had eight years of non-transparency, which hasn't helped patients or shareholders. >The entire program will not be transferred until the end of Q...

Re: Commsman's Pitch for IMBARK Phase 3 to the Geron Executive Management Team
If you read Dr. Raza's essay in the book "This Idea Is Brilliant", she suggests that Phase 3 trials be run like this (except that she has a much more ambitious and detailed plan, adding in longer-term plans for data collection and comparison between trials). Dr. Scarlett may not have bothered to rea...

Re: Confirmation Bias, is there a way through it?
I would guess that IF Geron actually announced a Phase 3 trial fully enrolled and dosing, the stock would go up at least briefly. There is a big difference between Phase 2 and Phase 3 drug approval probability. Recruiting isn't going to be trivial... patients have to swear off other MDS treatments a...

Respectfully, may I ask your opinion why would there be a chance of approval when in fact Phase 3 in MF is not even certain and remain to be decided. +1. We've been talking about early approval in MF for years... but Scarlett says there won't even be a "decision" as to whether to do an MF Phase unt...

Hi kmall. Glad to hear that you are well diversified. Not so glad to see you continuing your personal attacks, conspiracy theories, and accusations of "hidden agendas"... I'm not even anonymous. Not only did I work on the early development of imetelstat, I've written many articles supporting TI drug...

Re: Kmall's 100 Day Campaign
kmall, you should be commended for trying to take positive action. But you didn't get any "response" from Gottlieb... don't let GERN take your SAN points with your retirement money. The first step should be to get information out of GERN... right now, Scarlett is burying the Mayo follow-up data. Not...

Re: Confirmation Bias, is there a way through it?
It's obvious what JS should have done from the beginning... keep the GERN lab, and not go inactive for four years while Janssen tried out imet on the sickest patients they could find. Did you ever get around to reading the Shay lab 2015 papers on telomerase inhibitors? Or at least watch the 2016 vid...

is there anyone who has looked at the ARGX MDS trial that doesn't think that this is why JNJ dropped imet? https://www.argenx.com/en-GB/news-internal/argenx-provides-detailed-data-from-phase-2-clinical-trial-of-efgartigimod-in-immune-thrombocytopenia-and-phase-12-clinical-trial-of-cusatuzumab-in-acu...

So, WHICH CRO is deciding GERN's future?
Does anyone have any idea when we will know: Which CRO is actually going to attempt the task of recruiting for the MDS trial? (To ask patients to not take any other treatment, to use a drug dropped by big pharma, and to take the 1/3, worse than Russian Roulette, chance of dying on placebo? Seriously...

Good results. And Scarlett's reaction is to announce that there will be no action on MF until the end of Q3 2019!
So as always, we're more bullish than the CEO... which makes no sense at all. Things can't go better for a company than the company's own plans, only worse.

Re: compassionate use program?
bp, JNJ did in fact say that the compassionate-use listing was a mistake. And they DID take it off the list BEFORE the discontinuation decision... to our eternal disgrace (and that of our ancestors and descendants), we all ignored that blatantly obvious sign.
