Yes, that's the inevitable result of listening to four or more Calls Of Chipthulhu.

Best of luck to you karagozoglu12345 with your transplant process.
Be careful about catching anything while you're immune-suppressed, of course. Take your Vitamin D etc.

Re: The Scarlett Letter
Don't forget the recent large dilution at $1.30, and the fact that Scarlett is sitting on yet another ATM issue. If Geron had some good news (e.g., finally completing enrollment of a trial), Scarlett stands ready to crush the stock price yet again. The market has been burned by Geron dozens of times...

Paper stresses the need for a full-length Phase 3 on imetelstat, says that presently patients' main hope is stem cell transplant. Still, at least imet is on the radar.

Re: Why would GERN need $75M facility?
I think it's clear cut... they haven't been able to recruit enough patients for the trials, and they're behind schedule. They're just making sure that they can cross the finish line on one trial before running out of money.
And it's not $75 million UNLESS they hit their milestones.

There was nothing "strange" about the volume on Friday, it was index rebalancing plus a little option expiration.
You've seen this a dozen times before, just look it up.

Re: Forty Seven
Yes, this is an important result. I posted about FortySeven last year, now they have GILD backing too. While they aren't starting out aiming at low risk MDS, this could limit Geron's expansion into AML... although it's always possible that the most effective genetic targets are different, or even th...

I'm sure Geron will get into ASH. Even if the trial results were negative, they're still human trial results on a new MOA, so are important either way.

@Ryan: not only did I not "knock" Geron's preclinicals... I DID the first preclinicals on imetelstat while I was at Shay-Wright lab  And I lost a bundle when JNJ and Scarlett tricked us into believing that JNJ was going to continue (the "job posting", the compassionate-use listing, and all the...

Re: Hoosier Investor please comment
Thanks for looking at the patents, HI. I agree that Geron's "concept patent" (something that is not supposed to exist) on "telomerase inhibitors in MF, MDS, and AML" (I know it's three blood cancers, hope I remember the AML correctly?) does apply. The other patents mention "modified Guanines" and in...

The patent on "any telomerase inhibitor in MF, MDS, and AML" should apply as well.

Re: Orphan being discussed AML/MDS/JMML
What they're discussing is waiving the pediatric testing requirement, as you'll remember was done for the Phase 2.
This is a very good thing, it will speed up the trial... and as biopearl points out, incidence in children is super rare.

No, please stop. Geron doesn't have a lab, they aren't doing any preclinicals of their own.

PLEASE go read Hahn's apology on Twitter for this "35%" lie. And stop spreading it, it's pure political theater. We don't even have a controlled study on these "plasma" (really should be "serum" IIRC) experiments... they've thrown pooled blood products (think about that one for a minute, they've bee...

Come on... Geron doesn't even have a lab! Imetelstat already failed so many times against solid tumors... how many more patients are you willing to sacrifice? They haven't even been able to get an approval against the much easier targets in blood cancers. They won't even have the MF trial ENROLLED u...

Don't vent here, tell the FDA themselves:

Of course they're too busy explaining why they banned PCR tests for SARS-CoV-2 (except for the non-working CDC test) until Feb 29, and STILL don't any pharma to release info on off-label drug use for coronavirus.

It's expensive, but CAR-T keeps getting approved. How long until it gets to MDS and MF?
