Re: Sergei Gryzanov now CSO of MAIA
Hi Bill, as always thank you for keeping this interesting topic on the front burner. Both Dr. Shay and Dr. Gryaznov (you should check your spelling) were great assets to Geron in their time. Given Dr. Gryaznov's status as father of Imetelstat, I have alway been surprised that he was not given a lab ...

huntingonthe bluffs, thank you for your comments. Re: Hat tip to Joe Pipes YMB
Dr. Platzbecker: "On target activity", "disease modification" , CR and CR+marrow CR. I think once the non medical financial community gets hold of this and recognizes the implications, we should see some serious appreciation. 68 % HI is in the words of Larry David is, "pretty pretty good". The scien...

Hi Jingle, it appears he didn’t stick around long enough to do much good. Maybe the atmosphere was too political or maybe the siren call of big money VC lured him away. bp

Re: Imagine reading this
So after you read that, consider this. A little less than four years to approval and a lot more than 1 million interim blood transfusions, that's right more than 1 million at least, over that time period (this is probably an underestimate, someone check my math please--see previous posts). Well, I s...

Yes but all he had to do was wait two weeks and raise at a higher stock price, that’s the part I don’t get.

By 2:30 AM Eastern time June 12th
By 2:30 AM Eastern time or shortly there after I hope the information from the oral MDS presentation will make its way into the public domaine. We already know from the abstract that the data is unique and exceeds results from any other drug in the clinic with regard to 8 week, 24 week and >1yr TI d...

The boxer and the timeline
First off thank you kmall for taking up the challenge of teaching us more about ligand trap and BET therapies. Look forward to your upcoming posts to learn more. Also CKTC, this topic is calling out for your first Imetelchat post! Well Dr. Scarlett has certainly shown us that he is a pro in the ring...

Re: Thoughts from the shareholder meeting
Hi Cathy, just a gentle reminder that personal comments should be avoided. I encourage all members to be respectful of others and suggest we avoid judging how others might view us but rather stick to posting the things we think are important to the board as we seek to educate ourselves. We are all i...

Cathy's questions
Please see previous post re Cathy's questions. To be fair, regarding value creating events, continuing and completed enrollment in both PIII studies certainly are value creating. The loss of the AML study is not. But unless there is a partner, a positive change in approval status or a buyout, it is ...

Re: Questions for the upcoming shareholders meeting
Hi sure, I will give you my take. My opinions only, alternative views greatly appreciated and encouraged. When you assumed the helm at Geron you commented that the best time to sell a small biotech was when the company had accumulated good PII data. Since that now appears to have occurred, in conjun...

Re: Additional thoughts
ruccola, Unless some beacon of reason takes over at the FDA, Dr. Scarlett said (as an estimate--baring complication) to look for approval in early 2024. That's about 4 years from now. I suppose if the MDS study expands and becomes fully enrolled, top line data might be available before mid 2022. In ...

Re: Additional thoughts
Kmall, it is shameful that the FDA overlooked the opportunity to make Imetelstat the RWD test case. Especially with molecular end point data.available also. Especially with hard evidence for fibrosis reversal. Especially with the ethics of having a no treatment control arm at this late stage in the ...

Additional thoughts
Its pretty obvious at this point that: 1. Geron has a unique drug that has been shown to A. prolong life and reverse fibrosis in MF and B. Cause durable transfusion independence in MDS. This seems pretty certain to the extent one can comment on phase two data. The value of two active PIII studies is...

Thoughts from the shareholder meeting
1. Confirmation of uniqueness of Imetelstat and minimal competition in the MF and lower risk MDS space. (Constellation Pharma may have drug associated fibrosis reversal but not as yet OS) 2. MDS enrollment and new MF study enrollments delayed by about three months due to COVID. 3. AML is off the tab...

A kind "shout out" from Dr. Scarlett himself
I don't know how many board members had a chance to tune into the shareholders meeting. I want to listen to it again once archived and perhaps share some observations. In any case the Imetelchat board received a kind acknowledgment during Dr. Scarlett's introductory remarks. It is gratifying to know...
