Re: What the financial analysts will miss

Thanks biopearl. You deserve some of those "incentive" options that Geron seems to pass out so freely.

Thrombocytopenias

Would someone tolerate an old fool who cannot seem to locate the answer to my search question: " Has Geron resolved, or lessened the threat of. the development of thrombocytopenias with this drug? "
Thanks in advance.

Re: Why would GERN need $75M facility?

IMO it's a safety loan. Getting a full recruitment is stalled because of the CV-19 pandemic, and the safety concerns for the potential patients, not for lack of applicants. If it goes on longer than the optimistic projection (s), funds will be needed to "keep the machine running"; But I yield to tho...

The potential loan package....?

Simply stated: this puzzles the heck out of me. I had assumed that the last offering was totally sufficient to cover the trial to it's conclusion with all the assorted odds and ends........and ....enough left over to actually fund a marketing plan. Those with a keener understanding of what is going ...

Hindsight

Looking at the stats for new cases of MF in the US annually: 16.5 -18K per.
Wondering how JnJ saw Imetelstat as a "Billion dollar" pipeline drug.

Hard to take with a smile.

I know this is an intellectual, pseudo scientific endeavor here........never the less, even knowing it was coming...this is hard to take with a smile. My original investment in this over the course of 6 years has been halved and halved again. Ah...I'll delete this posting.

Telomerase

The specific pathway of this enzyme.....are there any other compounds in development by other companies that strive to achieve the same effect of telomere manipulation? Understand the patent restrictions owned by the company. But I imagine, ( and that is the question, really), that, somewhere, some ...

Re: FTSV acquisition by GILD

Irrespective of the results, the drug, it's pathway is unique. Certainly would seem like an extreme bargain buy right now. 4 or 5 a share would probably do it.

Re: Perspective on the MF field

FWIW: IMO.....Ultimately I believe that it was for these very reasons that JnJ decided to withdraw. The "Billion dollar pipeline: that they touted at their press conferences regarding the potential revenue stream for Imetestat, was, apparently, grossly miscalculated. And the "competing" trials, dire...

Re: So many blind spots right out in the open…

Thanks for the great read, insights and educated "guessing".
I've held this stock for what seems like ages.
During all that time the company has never look so "on track" as it does now.
Couple more years..................!!

One of you folks help me understand the numbers... 57 locations, with 170 participants total?. That seems to equate to 3+ patients per location trial????

+Seems almost impolite to speak of here

With such a devoted and savvy membership here, it seems somehow disrespectful to even mention money. So pardon me for saying so, however this stock is, and always has been, a terrible investment. In the world of biotechs it is a well known fact that the bulk are a mean gamble at best. This one, afte...
