Re: YMB Censorship and GERON’s ex-US partner? - Pt 2

Kmall, thank you for the acknowledgment but like you, I am only reading tea leaves here. I enjoy your thoughts and insights and they have the same value as those of any long. In fact, your efforts to raise awareness make me quite certain that we’ll be great company when it comes time to celebrate th...

Re: If you are looking for the new shareholders letter

I always enjoy Willy's posts, if for no other reason than the sheer amount of mental calisthenics and gaslighting he has to do to make a point. To describe Imetelstat as 'palliative' for MDS patients brought a tear of laughter to my eye. Regular blood transfusions can have serious side effects and c...

Re: Reality check

Even more to my point BP. With blood being scarce then recipients will be looking into alternatives to transfusions. My guess is that Scarlett will hit this point hard with the FDA. Having Imetelstat available for MDS patients right now would alleviate some of the strain on the healthcare supply cha...

Re: Reality check

BP- I don't think that patients who are transfusion dependent have any choice but to venture out. That's how they get their transfusions (or die), so I think that the opportunity to venture out LESS which is afforded by being on Imetelstat and therefore needing fewer transfusions, becomes more impor...

Re: Good Bye

I posted this on Seeking Alpha but it bears repeating here since you're planning to leave and we'll miss you. They're hiring people and the FDA wants to talk to them again after already moving up the last meeting. In addition, they have more data that they want to share about median overall surviva...

Re: stock options

Thanks for consolidating the option #s by year. I may be wrong, but I don’t believe the lawyer Rosenstein sold all his shares when he made a sale before the Janssen decision. That's a fair point. I should have said that he sold all of his VESTED options prior to the discontinuation as he would not ...

Re: stock options

Scarlett only got 582,750 options this year compared to 1,050,000 last year. Ok, I went back an tallied the options granted as part of the annual compensation of the executive team. With the exception of Dr. Rizo, these numbers only include their annual option grants and not any incentives for joini...

Re: A Salute to Memom

Thank you for the heart wrenching story Commsman. It should be a reminder to all those who have an agenda to put down companies like Geron that have a chance of ameliorating these terrible diseases. The sadness comes from hearing of people like your Memom getting these diseases instead of the truly ...

Re: Parsing the obnubulate Scarlett

Amen to that BP. Happy New Year as well and thanks for all your work keeping this resource alive. I had hoped that the more valuable Seeking Alpha contributors would have found their way here, but I think we all have Geron fatigue. Hopefully not for too much longer though.

Re: Parsing the obnubulate Scarlett

Hi BP, great way of summarizing our current state and I appreciate your thoughts. I will say though that unless there is an example of a drug that has been approved in combo before being approved solo I don't think that a trial with Rux would open a path to approval. If anything, I believe that Scar...

Re: So many blind spots right out in the open…

Very well said indeed. Here's an exercise that I find helpful. Imagine that right now the stock price was $7. Now factor in everything you said and you would have a very compelling investment thesis. Analysts would be piling on to talk about (and hype) what is about to happen at Geron and with Imete...

Re: The most important focus of the new MF abstract

Great post BP, thanks. What makes you think they would need to do a Phase 1 for a Rux combo trial? If Imetelstat is approved (God willing) for r/r MF or MDS then I believe any other studies like combos would be Phase 3 trials. That's what makes this such a compelling drug and investment. Once approv...

Re: Ash posters

Zhears, The lack of concern by Scarlett about the short term share price is his Achille's Heel. At our current valuation it would not take billions of dollars for an interested party to get Imetelstat. It would only take a hostile attempt at grabbing control by a fund such as Baker Brothers to buy u...

Re: Q3 announcement coincides w ASH abstract release

Why odd? They can't say a peep until the abstract is released at 9am. Once it has been published online, you've only got 30 minutes before the market opens. My guess is they are allowing the news from the abstracts to sink in during the day before announcing financials and whatever other news they h...

Re: 57 P3 Site Locations and Counting?

Look on the bright side, each patient will be able to be carefully monitored with such small numbers per center. I don't recall what (if any) dose modification is allowed, but the this bodes well for achieving the absolute best trial results possible.

New Post on Seeking Alpha

Hello everyone. I wrote this post not just because there needs to be a new place to continue the Imetelstat conversation but also because I am extremely disappointed that management diluted shareholders at these low prices. Please feel free to stop by and comment. https://seekingalpha.com/instablog/...

Re: Janssen Patent Application

Upon further research I can confirm that the second agreement expressly PROHIBITS Janssen or JNJ from using Imetelstat while instead granting a license to patents that Geron holds regarding oligonucleotide technology. Here's the relevant language in the second agreement, "excluding cancers originati...

Re: Janssen Patent Application

Hi guys, I don't think that this patent application applies to Geron's secondary agreement with JNJ. If you look at the dates, the patent application pre-dates the Continuation Agreement. I think that at the time of the last update for this patent (January 31, 2019) Janssen had not officially signed...

Re: Just for fun while we wait, a repost from SA

Interesting thought BP! I'm not sure if that's ever been attempted before, although I certainly see the comparative value. If nothing else, bringing such additional data to the FDA can't hurt, and the company clearly has the properly trained staff on hand to do so as seen by their approach to RWD in...
