TD Cowen, Stifel, and Barclays
I’m seeing new underwriters in TD Cowen and Barclays. RA Capital headlines, assume they took 9.99% of offering to stay at 9.99%. Did not see a mention of NEA though. These investment firms are willing to pay $3 when they could have literally paid $1’s last week in the open market. Things have certai...

Re: This is a big deal- a convert
Yawn. I respectfully disagree. He is a journalist with no background in science, and has been nothing but biased, glib, and unimpressive with his tales on Geron. His “article” (blog) is nothing but more gaseous click bait. He is now getting people to read who had never heard of Geron, and people to ...

Re: Public Hearing Comments (Patient #3; Patient #9)
For those of you who didn't watch/listen to the ADCOM meeting, I recommend you listen to the public comments from Patient #3. Her story begins at the 4:32:07 mark of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om-cKKBsMS4 Many of us have "hung-in-there" for quite a while.....hoping the drug (and com...

Re: Quite Surprising that....
He did state his rationale - that the risks ultimately outweighed the benefit. He bought into the FDA shaping of the cytopenias, despite multiple clinicians (and he would also know) that these are manageable in MDS centers. I think a real interesting moment was when the Dr from the Moffitt Center in...

Geron Announces FDA Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee Votes in Favor of the Clinical Benefit/Risk Profile of Imetelstat
Geron PR, AKA victory lap, today not posted here yet I don’t think: https://ir.geron.com/investors/press-releases/press-release-details/2024/Geron-Announces-FDA-Oncologic-Drugs-Advisory-Committee-Votes-in-Favor-of-the-Clinical-BenefitRisk-Profile-of-Imetelstat-for-the-Treatment-of-Transfusion-Depend...

Re: March 14th
Very entertaining... worst fear than any horror movie I have seen. Would have been perfect... except this is real life, impacting real patients and real families. I am ashamed at the incompetent FDA members and the panelist who voted no. May their family and friends never get this disease. Ash a bi...

Speakers 8 and 9 were patients. They were extremely compelling and 100% advocating for Imet. Dare I say, tear-jerkers...
9 Speakers was 9-0 in favor of Imetelstat.

Speaker #3 was a patient from TX, who said she was ready to meet the Lord upon hearing her treatments were not working. Before Imetelstat... needless to say, amazing story. Speaker #4 is Dr / expert from Cornell, non-sponsored who had consulted with Geron in the past.... "Enthusiastic to have Imetel...

Speaker #2 is equally "enthusiastic" (her word). She is a non-sponsor patient advocate with the MDS Foundation.

Speaker #1 in the Open Hearing: MDS Doctor / expert in Canada. Had 3 patients in study and described experience of one, who was unblinded... She used the phrase "incredible drug", and "impressed". Halelujah moment for sure! Not that we did not know of these efficacy effects, however we did need this...

Re: March 14th
The Geron team and collaborators are indeed doing a great job. It’s hard not to characterize the FDA teams posture as being prosecuting attorneys. Ultimately this is nerve wracking as they are of course the ultimate arbiter as to if the drug is approved and the labeling. So I stick with my call that...

Re: Basic Considerations....
Numerous great / insightful comments the past 36 hours. I would say nothing left to do but wait. I still believe the vote will be unanimous in favor. It’s b/c of these Basic Considerations, because of (the unchanged) p values, and because of Geron’s response along with the independent experts from V...

24 million+ (edited from 30 Million, I overestimated) shares traded here say it’s a spring, or a slinkie
I guess it's safe to say around 100 million shares will trade Friday. Onward here we go...

Re: Finally, disease modification?
Did you pay for access? It possible this is articulated , but of course the Headline ends in a question mark.
Isn’t that appropriate for Geron…? Always a question mark lurks… and of course max pain for retail investors as the question mark is just never removed.
I digress, Thursday it is.

Re: Taking the temperature at the FDA
A stock will not be halted based on an event, only a market reaction to an event, which causes a trade imbalance… So the stock will not be halted just based on the meeting happening, only if the stock trading gets nuts. I would suspect a 20-30 million trade day, and would doubt that stock is halted....

Using fingers to count down now
That ODAC meeting is getting close.
Per conversations and pure conjecture on other boards, I would say that the vote will be unanimous, in favor of course.
